Orthosis made of textile, provided with:
• one band under the opposite armpit, which has a protection sleeve
• 2 straps with hook and loop fastening on the arm
• 4 plastic components on the arm, in inner pockets, which produce a rigid, circular immobilization. For a better fit on the arm, the 2 plastic components from the sides can be removed (item 3 and 4)
• adjustable support strap (with “crocodile” type fastener and protection sleeve), optional.
The orthosis is a semirigid support that covers the shoulder and the arm, and can be used both as an orthopedic treatment and for recovery in the post surgery period.
Due to the fastening strap provided with 2 buckles the orthosis can be worn both on the left and right shoulder. The lenght can be adjusted by cutting at the level of the stitches to avoid fabric breaking, and repositioning the “crocodile” type fastener.
It is used in case of inflammatory and degenerative rheumatic processes,various traumatic conditions, for immobilization after humerus fracture without movement, when it is not necessary to immobilize the shoulder and elbow.
The recommendation is made by the specialist physician.
The laminated textile ensemble behaves like a moisture regulator, ensuring a quick transfer of the moisture to outward.
